Are you a special needs Mom ready to rock this special life with me?

I’m Holly, the farmer’s daughter who fell in love with the carpenter’s son and shortly thereafter became a special needs Mom.

As a new Mom of a child with special needs I was SO scared! I had no idea what I was doing! I did know I wanted to do my best for my child.

A few Mama Bears took me in like a kid sister.  I’m forever grateful and that’s my inspiration for creating Twenty One Dandelions.

Twenty One Dandelions is a blog to help Moms of children with special needs.

Think of me as your Mama Bear big sister!

Let’s rock it!

I  don’t want to just talk about being a special needs Mom.

I want to give you tangible tips and actionable takeaways to help you, your child with special needs, and the rest of your family!

Feeling overwhelmed as a special needs Mom?

Stressed about an IEP meeting and confused about special education?

A Blog For Moms Like You!

Just because your child has special needs doesn’t mean you stop dreaming for their future.

I know how stressful IEP meetings can be and I’m here to help!

You want your child to live their best life and the definition of what that means is different for everyone. Creating a Vision Statement and Life Map can help you and your child define it. Let’s create a meaningful future together with my E-workbook!

IEP meetings can be one of the more stressful parts of being a parent of a child with special needs. Let me help you walk into that meeting with confidence with my E-workbook.

Step by step I walk you through how to prepare for the meeting, strategies for the meeting, and post-meeting follow up. Also included are helpful printables such as an IEP prep sheet, IEP goal sheet, IEP checklist, and About Me page!

What We Love

I want you and your child to thrive! I have found some of THE BEST THINGS when other Mama Bears have shared with me stuff they liked or found helpful so I’m spreading the love!

If you’ve been reading the blog posts on behavior you know I LOVE this book! When Max was younger we really struggled with behavior. At one point I thought he was going to get kicked out of preschool! This book explains why our kids with Down Syndrome may do some of the things they do and gives parents solid advice on how to manage their behaviors!
